Beginnings
Imagine that you were looking down from heaven with the eyes of Jesus. What would you see? Where would you immediately fix your gaze? What critical need would you consider first? There’s a whole world of possibilities out there…
Jesus focused on people. He looked upon the masses and his eyes filled with tears, because he knew that they were: “harassed and helpless...like sheep without a shepherd.” (Matthew 9:36)
In 2001, founders, Dr. Thomas and Linda Clinton started First Love International Ministries with that same heart for hurting people. Taking many years of oversees missions experience, they began their work in Nepal, Kenya and the Philippines. Seeing the overwhelming need, especially the number of orphaned children, they knew they had to do something. Since those early days First Love has grown. We now have nearly 300 full-time workers in fourteen countries.
